Media/Techniques
Wendy's watercolour pictures are produced as large format A1. This allows
for fine detail, which is required in painting such intricate subject matter.
The pictures are rendered on high quality watercolour paper and each can take
up to 3 months to complete. Pencil drawings are prepared and adjustments made
to content and composition when drawn up in readiness for painting.
Highly concentrated liquid watercolour paints give the necessary brilliance,
which is so characteristic of Wendy's work. Water soluble pencils are also
used to blend in certain detailed areas. Broad wet on wet/, treatment is juxtaposed
against fine intense areas to provide balance and contrast in visual tempo.
Wendy gives talks at schools, libraries and other venues for Book Week etc. To arrange a booking and discuss fee please feel free to contact her.
